Much Ado About Nothing July 24th - August 9th Fridays through Sundays 7pm 2016 2016 In the Courtyard of the Batavia Fine Arts Center
The is much ado about something this summer as we move our production to the Batavia Fine Arts Center. After 15 years of productions, Shakespeare on Clark was suspended last summer due to lack of funding and support. The production team was delighted when approached by the Batavia Fine Arts Center, asking if we would be willing to perform in the courtyard at the Center. We are honored to be supported by the Center, and look forward to an amazing experience for everyone involved. This year, tickets will be sold for the production through the Fine Arts Center, and there will be no rain-outs. In the event of inclement weather, we simple move everyone and everything into the Black Box theatre at the Center and the show will go on!!! Audience members will meet with cushioned seats already set up for them, air conditioned lobby areas to wait in, and lovely indoor washroom facilities. We look forward to new experiences, couple with out usual high energy, fast paced, enjoyable (and understandable) Shakepeare comedy!!!

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE July 24 though August 9 Fridays - Sundays 7pm
Join us in Messina, a 1920’s Parisian Jazz club, for “Much Ado About Nothing.” As soldiers arrive from post World War I battles, the people of France are ready to celebrate, rebuild and redefine social norms. Prohibition, occurring in the United States, is just a blip of international news in Paris, where pre-war values are tossed aside for joy and yes, debauchery. Jazz is very fashionable, and luxurious parties are thrown by the elite at every opportunity. Americans are taking Cunards across the ocean for the chance to express their artistic talents in the freedom offered in this open and creative atmosphere. They come to play, to dance and to drink freely. It is a “new age” and Messina welcomes all!! Cut to just 90 minutes of fast paced action, this year's production will take place in the Courtyard, just off the lobby of Batavia's Fine Arts Centre. Tickets can be purchased on their web site. Get yours early....a limited quantity is available for each performance. (and in the event of inclement weather, we will move the show into the Black Box, so you are insured to be entertained.)
