CHRIS KUBIAK

Chris makes his Shakespeare at the Centre debut and, as this is also his first foray into the the world of performing the Bard, he couldn’t be more delighted. He is a recent graduate of Geneva High School where favorite roles include Count Rugen the six-fingered-man in The Princess Bride, Sir Lawrence Wargrave in And Then There Were None, and Selsdon Mowbray in Noises Off. He was also seen last summer as Zacky Price in the Elgin Community College production of Big Fish. Chris will be attending DePaul University in the fall, where he will be majoring in Film and Television and minoring in Theatre. Chris would like to thank Julane for all her insight and faith in him, the cast for being so welcoming, and his mother for all her Shakespeare coaching.

MEGAN SCHARLAU

Though new to this company, Megan is no stranger to the bard as she has performed in over 20 productions with the What You Will Shakespeare Company at the University of Illinois. Highlight performances include Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Desdemona (Othello), Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), and Feste (Twelfth Night). Her personal favorite, and highlight of her thus-far career, is performing that tragic Danish prince, Hamlet, in the Spoony Bard Shakespeare production last April. She's so thankful for this experience forming an early modern girl-band with the rest of the Bustle Fluffahs.

Dan is very excited to make his debut with Shakespeare on Clark. Some of the his other credits include In
the Next Room or The Vibrator Play (Leo) at The Albright Theatre in Batavia. A Midsummer Night’s
Dream (Starveling) at Janus Theatre in Elgin. Almost Maine (Jimmy), The Nerd (Waldgrave), Romeo and
Juliet (Romeo), All My Sons (George), and A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit) at College of DuPage in Glen
Ellyn.

TORIA HOLLYN

​Toria Hollyn is happy to be back with Shakespeare at the Center, in another French role, after having played the devious Dame Jeanne in the 2015 production of Much Ado About Nothing and having come fresh off of playing The Seamstress in GreenMan Theatre Troupe’s A Tale of Two Cities.  Many moons ago, Toria met Julane when she played Julia in Two Gentleman of Verona at North Central College.  Other favorite roles include: Linda Seton in Holiday (Grove Players), Sarah Goldman in Beau Jest (Elgin Theatre Company), Kate Keller in The Miracle Worker (Albright Theatre Company), Lydia Lubey in All My Sons (Wheaton Drama), Mayella Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird (Wheaton Drama), Patsy in Crazy for You (Overshadowed Theatrical Productions), Lady Rowena in Once Upon a Mattress (Conejo Players), and Bet in Oliver! (Magical Starlight).  Toria is delighted to be collaborating with Julane and this madcap cast for another delightful summer romp.

TEGAN ROGERS

​Tegan is excited to join the cast of Love’s Labour’s Lost in her first appearance with Shakespeare at the Centre. She appeared most recently as Ruth in Fox Valley Theatre Guild’s production of Noelle Coward’s Blithe Spirit; other appearances include 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Logainne), The Clean House (Matilde), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Marcy), Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad), Gamma Rays and the Effect on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (Ruth), The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail (Emily), and Blithe Spirit (Madame Arcati). Behind the scenes, she has directed Fox Valley Theatre Guild’s rendition of Wait Until Dark, and provided choreography for Premiere Theatre Company’s productions of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Mary Poppins. Tegan would like to thank her friends and family for their never-ending support for her love of theatre, and her castmates for all their hard work. Let’s fluff some bustles.

Ben is back for his third production with Shakespeare on Clark. His first being A Midsummer's Night Dream, a production he very much enjoyed, and his second being last year's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream In high school Ben participated in many school productions, as well as Acid Reflux, a sketch comedy troupe, where he found his love for acting. Since then has been going to school and working full time, participating in any productions that he can in his spare time.   Ben also joined the cast of A Midnight Clear, the Christmas Truce of 1914 as a German Soldier.,in 2016.

​Jerry is excited to working with this delightful and talented cast for the first time. He received a BA in Theater from the University of Illinois Chicago Campus and appeared as Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire, Ernesto Roma in Bertolt Brecht’s The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Leslie in Edward Albee’s Seascape, IRA Officer in Brendan Behan’s The Hostage and Orestes in Electra among others. Lived in Minnesota for 25 years where, after a long hiatus, he appeared in such roles as Stage Manager in Our Town, Duke Mantee in The Petrified Forest, Count Orsini in Amadeus, Claudius in Hamlet, Don Pedro, Leonnato and Antonio in separate productions of Much Ado About Nothing, MacDuff in Macbeth, Jack in Neil Simon’s Broadway Bound, Big Tony in Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, the Midwest premiere of Edward Albee’s The Goat or Who Is Sylvia, 30’s mobster boss Harry Sawyer in the independent film The Spirits of St. Paul, Ricky Roma in Glengarry Glen Ross and Santiago in Nilo Cruz’ Pulitzer Prize winning Anna in the Tropics. Favorite roles since moving back to the Chicago area include Don Corleone in Corleone, Harry Brock in Born Yesterday, Cromwell in A Man for All Seasons, George in Of Mice and Men, Uncle Morty in Clifford Odet’s Awake and Sing and Wily in Nil Simon’s The Sunshine Boys. He would like to thank Julan for the opportunity to be a part of this production. By day he is a financial advisor and by nights can sometimes be seen and heard playing congas and percussion in the band Once is Not Enough. He would like to thank Julan for the opportunity to be a part of this production and is looking forward to playing with this cast and company in future productions.

KATHY BRIGHT

Kathy is a long-time Shakespeare aficionado and delighted to again work with Shakespeare at the Centre and Julane alongside so many other talented actors and friends. Besides appearing in Love’s Labour’s Lost, she has also appeared in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (alongside her dog, Miro, as My Dog), Much Ado About Nothing, A Comedy of Errors, Measure for Measure, Twelfth Night, and As You Like It. She lives in Lombard and has studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in LA. Kathy is also a writer, both personally and professionally, and will go anywhere she can find a "crazy-mad airfare," which has resulted in random trips to London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Stockholm. Where to next? Time will tell.

Mark is thrilled to be under Julane’s directorship once again having recently acted in “Much Ado About Nothing” (2015) and “The Christmas Truce of 1914” (2015). He is looking forward to working with new (to him) actors in this performance. It will be no loss of love or labor for him!'

Elissa is thrilled to be joining Shakespeare on Clark at the Centre once again. Last year she was part of their production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream", as Hermia. Past Credits also  included the world premiere of "26 Pebbles", Cecily in "The Importance of Being Earnest", Hero in "Much Ado About Nothing", and Sammy in "First Baptist of Ivy Gap". This past winter Elissa directed her first show, Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" at Burlington Central High School. Elissa will graduate this fall from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, with a degree in Theatre Performance and a minor in Costume Design. She would like to thank her friends and family for their endless amount of love and support. ​

This is Dan's first Shakespeare at the Centre performance. His most recent roles include Bronco Brannigan in "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter", Bill in "Reefer Madness", and Arcati in the mostly improvised "Blithe Spirit." Dan has been involved in theater in some capacity for almost 20 years, having started out playing Tiny Tim in The Riverfront Playhouse's production of "A Christmas Carol." By day, Dan works at a Digital Marketing agency in the city.

 Fans and locals may recognize Matt from previous performances with Shakespeare at the Centre.   Last summer he took the role of Theseus in A Midsummer's Night's Dream and as Don Pedro from 2015 performance of Much Ado About Nothing. He has been involved with Shakespeare on Clark since 2010's Twelfth Night, and is pleased to be returning for his sixth consecutive year!  An aspiring writer, Matt has been involved in many other plays in Batavia and its surrounding towns.  Such shows include Sagebrush at Waubonsee Community College, Golem: The Monster of Prague at the Riverfront Playhouse, Macbeth at GreenMan Theatre, and last Christmas' debut of A Midnight Clear: The Christmas Truce of 1914 in Batavia.  Matt would like to thank his family and friends for their support, his fellow actors, and Julane for once again letting him be part of such a fun and amazing experience!

​Tiffany is thrilled to be making her debut with Shakespeare at the Centre. She is so grateful to her cast and crew for being so wonderfully talented and an absolute delight to work with. Her past credits include: Jack in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, Claire in PROOF, Catherine in IN THE NEXT ROOM and Jackie in MAURITIUS all at the Albright Theatre. Some favorite roles are: Nurse in ROMEO AND JULIET and Kate in ALL MY SONS. Tiffany would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her and her relentless passion for the stage. She has always held a deep love for the Bard and is ecstatic to be part of this hilariously, absurd show! Enjoy!

Veronica is excited to be working with Julane Sullivan. She is ecstatic to have Shakespeare back in her life! Most recently, she appeared as "Elvira" in The Fox Valley Theatre Guild's production of Blithe Spirit. Prior works include "Rita" in The Riverfront Playhouse's Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter and "Gloria" in Premier Theatre's Wait Until Dark. Veronica is forever grateful to her family for all their support, especially her two wonderful children who inspire her daily. Thank you for supporting local community theatre! Sola, sola!

​Kasandra Hesek is thrilled to be working with Shakespeare at the Centre once more. Some favorite past roles include Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Vladimir in "Waiting for Godot," Cunningham in "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot," and Catherine in "Proof." When not performing, Kasandra spends her days haphazardly maintaining a household and wrangling her two kids. Much love to her husband, Michael, for his understanding and tolerance of her hobbies and quirks.

​Katherine is thrilled to portray Antonia Dull and be the Stage Manager in Love Labour’s Lost! She is very excited to be able to once more work with Julane and this fabulous cast and crew. Katherine was last seen as Mustardseed in Shakespeare on Clark at the Centre’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Onstage credits include Shakespeare on Clark at the Centre’s Much Ado About Nothing (Ursula) and The Comedy of Errors (First Merchant/Servant), WMC Productions, Inc.’s Much Ado About Nothing (Ursula u/s) and Summer Place Theatre’s Cyrano de Bergerac (Sister Martha).
