Shakespeare on Clark AT THE CENTRE
Since 1999
It's Valentine's Day, and Cupid is hosting his annual exclusive party to celebrate love and romance. Not everyone is enchanted with Cupid on this occasion, however. Six quirky individuals--whom Cupid labels as "misfits when it comes to love"--have arrived at the party. These misfits include a self-proclaimed nerd who lives with her parents and is obsessed with baking and the Food Network, an eight-time divorcee who has just come from an event at which he performed as a clown, a successful business woman who has no time for love except for her six cats, a homeless man with a limp, an aspiring puppeteer with a severely flirty hand puppet, and the Grim Reaper himself. These six all have some issues with Cupid. During the course of the evening, someone is going to die. Will Cupid survive? Will love survive?

Shakespeare on Clark at the Centre presents Cupid Must Die! by Debbi Dennison and Carl Zeitler. The production, directed by Julane Sullivan, is the fourth murder mystery dinner theatre play to be performed at The Range Grill & Tap. Join in the fun and suspense on Sunday February 14 and see if you can determine "whodunit." The event fee includes the play as well as a buffet dinner and dessert. Tickets are $30 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased by calling The Range Grill & Tap at 630-761-0145 or by stopping in at the location itself at 35 N. Water St. in Batavia. The previous three productions all sold out well in advance, so it is highly recommended to get tickets early. The night begins with a social hour at 5 PM where characters mingle with the audience with a cash bar open. The show itself begins at 6 PM sharp, so patrons should arrive before that time. This interactive style of show will give audience members a chance to play detective and fill out a form during the night with whom he or she thinks commits the murder. Prizes will be awarded based on responses turned in.

Cupid Must Die! features Debbi Dennison, Danny Glenn, Carolyn Larsen, Julie Ostrow, Rhys Read, Eric Wang, and Carl Zeitler.    Read Full Actor and Staff Bios.
